For a corner yard, sketch both street edges and mark the proposed fence return before selecting a solid privacy style. Bring your proposed height, material and gate locations to the village discussion. An existing neighboring fence is not proof that the same layout will be approved for your parcel.

Monroe County, Michigan · LOCAL FENCE PLANNING
Contact the village office before building or replacing a fence. Its Ordinance Application includes a Fence option. Ask which approval, current height rules, application documents and inspections apply to your property; the zoning book linked by the village has an older amendment date.
The village's published section 3.10 protects visibility on corner lots. It restricts obstructions between 2½ and 10 feet high within a triangle measured 50 feet along the intersecting street right-of-way lines. This is a corner-visibility rule, not a general fence-height allowance. The application asks for the job location, applicant information, total height and a construction description. Confirm later amendments and any boundary-consent requirements directly with the village.
This is a suggested preparation list; the local office determines the required application documents.
